He also said that he had seen the original image five times to explore his role, Jin Wu. Yet, he is still careful not to suffer from the previous version.
“I have seen the original image five times. But I am trying to take the notes from there, so I am cautious,” Jin-Yang said at a press conference at Jakarta’s epigentram XXI on Monday (10/2/2025).
Jin-Yang further admitted that the popularity of the original film was a burden to him. However, he chose to make this a positive challenge in renewing the main character of the film You are the apple of my eye.
“I was a burden when playing this film, because the version of Taiwan’s film is very popular. But I am trying to think and challenge this character with my version,” Jin-Yang said.
As a high school student, Jin-Yang said he would re-examine the memories of his own school. With a very unique attitude, he believes to present a new and communication character.
“I am trying to remind you of the time he went to school to explore this role. I think this film would be related to many people in Indonesia, so I hope many people like this,” he said.
In this film, Jin-Yang will clash with the role of Tahyun. According to him, the image of Tahun is very relevant and can naturally bring the role of Zion A.
The film is a remake of the 2011 Taiwan film. “You tell the story of the first love story between” Korean Apple of My I “Jin-Woo (starring Jun-Jinyong), Naughty Student and Zion AH. Despite the different personality, they both establish unique and dynamic people.
