New Delhi: IIMS Delhi, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur and IIT Roper have been selected to carry out India’s Best Centers (COE) in artificial intelligence, respectively, focusing on health, stable cities and agriculture respectively.

In a written response to the Ou Han Lok Sabha, these centers will work in federations, with industrial partners and starting education and research institutions.

The selection process was carried out by a strict evaluation of a peak committee, including professionals, AI experts, academics and ministry representatives.

The effort, which comes under the view of the government’s “AI in India and work for India”, has allocated Rs 990 crore from 2023-24 to 2027-28.
