The state government is to organize the first Ibadan Valentine’s journey at Elel Lake on Friday.
Culture and Tourism Commissioner Dr. Vasiyu Ottabosun revealed this during a news conference held at Ibadan’s Elel Waterfront on Monday.
The news conference was held ahead of the Valentine’s Day celebration referred to as “Valentine Cruz”.
According to Olatanbosun, the state government will organize the journey along with the Royal Entertainment Cruise.
Shipping is aimed at promoting peace, love, friendship, admiration and tolerance among state residents and audiences.
He said the event would promote aquatic tourism, create employment and increase the income and economy of the state.
The commissioner noted that the current administration was a success in promoting the atmosphere of tourism.
He revealed that the state government had registered 12,128 hospitality clothes to properly monitor and coordinate their activities.
Oltabosun explained that the registered hospitality efforts include hotels, night hotels, event centers, restaurants/restaurants and tour operators.

He said the number rose from 1,328 in December 2019 to 12,128 on February 2025.
The commissioner revealed that the increase in the number was achieved by the optimal and implementation environment created by the Mannatal -led administration.
Earlier, in his speech, CEO, Royal Entertainment Cruise Dr. Sunny Pamitel said he had decided to cooperate with the state government to increase its tourism.
