However, four deaths have been confirmed as GPS, and health officials said on Tuesday (February 12, 2025) that three people were reported to have been suspected to have died. The total number of suspicious patients with GPS reached 197, and 172 were confirmed.

According to the health department, the statewide rapid response team went to the affected area and carried out surveillance from home. So far, 46534 houses in BMC, 25558 houses in PCMC and 13476 houses (85568) in Pune rural areas.

5891 water samples were sent to the Public Health Laboratory for chemical and biological analysis, and the models were contaminated from 65 water sources.
