On February 9, Peel Regional Police said they received information about a puppy plant that runs from a business near Dundas Street West and Mavis Road.
When the officers came to business the next day, they saw five puppies in a car in a garage.
“Inside the van, the puppies were living in a bad situation throughout the urine and feces, and there was no suitable food or water,” the police said in a news release.

A 49 -year -old man was arrested and accused of causing unnecessary suffering to animals. Police said he would attend the court after responding to the allegation.
“The police have confirmed that no other animals are pending,” the police said.
