The Islamabad -Central Capital Legal Society on Sunday rejected the transfer of three High Court judges to the Islamabad High Court (IHC), and today they announced that they will boycott court proceedings.
In this regard, the Islamabad Bar Council has boycotted the three judges to the Islamabad High Court, announcing the actions of this action, ignoring the courts and boycotting the courts. The Bar Council of the Federal capital has urged the Supreme Court, and all 16 judges of the Supreme Court must decide the 26th Amendment through the entire court.
On the other hand, the transfer of three judges, Lahore High Court (LHC), Indus High Court (SHC) and Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Sunday, will begin to hear the cases from today.
According to a list of the IHC Registrar’s Office, Justice Sarbaraz Dogar and Justice Kathim Hussein Sumo, Muhammad Muhammad Asif will be a member of the Bench No. 12.
A joint meeting of the Islamabad Bar Council, Islamabad High Court Bar Association and Islamabad District Bar Association were held at the Office of the Bar Council of Islamabad on Sunday. After a detailed discussion, the meeting unanimously condemned the transfer of judges from other provinces to the Islamabad High Court.
It further stated that the decision was directly violated by the independence of the judiciary and the policies of the regional representation, which undermined the autonomy of the Islamabad High Court. “We urge the recently changed judges to be sent back to their respective High Courts,” the lawyers demanded.
The resolution said, “The legal brotherhood of Islamabad ensures its commitment to opposing unreasonable transfers and appoints judges from other provinces to the Islamabad High Court from other provinces. The Islamabad Bar Council, the Islamabad High Court Bar Association and the Islamabad District Bar Association, will follow all legal and constitutional ways to challenge this decision and defend Islamabad’s judicial independence. ”
It further stated that applications filed by Bar Associations with the Supreme Court of Pakistan, demanding the cancellation of the 26 amendment, said the law was demanding that the Supreme Court be heard by the entire court comprising 16 permits of the Supreme Court.
“The legal community strongly condemns the decision of the Judicial Commission to hold a meeting to appoint additional judges in the Supreme Court on February 10, 2025. This action is considered a blunt attempt to handle the court’s organization, which is filled by the ruling parties and the established people. The lawyers are demanding that no appointments in the Supreme Court continue to be challenged in the petition to challenge the public’s confidence. .
The Joint Meeting fully supports the position of the Islamabad High Court judges, the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, by their letter to the appointment of senior judges from the court. The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court is to be appointed from most senior judges of the Islamabad High Court, to ensure justification and qualification based exams.

Lawyers decided that a strike would be monitored in the District Courts and Islamabad High Court on Monday as a symbol of opposition to the non -constitutional activities affecting the judiciary and the legal industry. We urge the legal brotherhood to observe tomorrow’s strike with our reason.
