Two British citizens in Iran were detained in spy charges.
According to the Iranian judiciary’s existence, the couple has been accused of gathering information in various parts of the country.
The Iranian judicial website also announced that the pair entered Iran as tourists and collected information in many provinces.
Iranian officials have been accused of relations with Western intelligence agencies, claiming that they are under investigation.
The British Foreign Office said the pair was identified by the names of Kurg and Lindsay Forman aged 50 to 55.
The couple’s family said they were in touch with the relevant authorities to ensure their safe income.
The couple agreed that they had ignored the warning of traveling to Iran as they were traveling on motorbikes around the world.
Lindsay said he had traveled 12,499 miles in 13 countries by the end of December in his Facebook post.
The British Foreign Office has said that they have continued to contact Iranian authorities and provide all possible assistance to the couple.
