A special EFTA desk has been launched to facilitate trade and investment between the two regions in a significant step to promote economic cooperation between India and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
The effort aims to improve business opportunities from Iceland, Lichenstein, Norway and Switzerland as it is ready to engage in the Indian market under the Indo-Efta Trade and Economic Alliance Agreement (DeBA), which signed on March 10, 2024.

This week, more than 100 EFTA companies have visited India, reflecting the growing interest in the contract. The TEPA is aimed at attracting $ 100 billion worth of investments and creating one million jobs in India over the next 15 to 20 years.
When the EFTA desk begins a defined moment, Push Goyal noted that “This makes it easy for business to do in India, ensures the free flow of capital and resources in both ways, and go to any concerns that crops, and then, of course, in the Indian government, in the Indian government, of course. Senior officials of the EFTA member states praised the effort.
