Sudan, Pakistan, Haiti and Mexico are considered dangerous to the media, according to a group of journalists’ safety (CPJ).
The group with a headquarters in New York notes that the Palestinian-Israeli clash contains nearly 70 percent of the deaths of journalists. The ITF was killed as a result of the war between Israel and the Hamas 85 newspapers.
It is noteworthy that in recent years, the number of dead media workers around the world has increased sharply. According to CPJ, 102 people died in 2023 and died in 2022 – 69. The previous tragic record was recorded in 2007, and when 113 journalists lost their lives, half of them died during the war in Iraq.
“No borders reporters” say that over 1,700 journalists have been killed in the last 20 years.
