Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has written a third open letter to Army Chief General Asim Munir, in which he has raised concerns over election fraud in 2024 general elections.
Imran Khan’s lawyer Faisal Sa UD Tri spoke to the media outside the Adiyala jail, where he was accompanied by other law representatives.
Chu UD Tri said Imran Khan shared the contents of the letter with the head of the PTI and that the letter would include six key points. He confirmed that the letter would solve problems such as the need for deep structural reforms, the damage to democracy and other important matters.
The lawyer stressed that the PTI is firm in the demand for the establishment of the Justice Department to investigate the May 9 event, and that the tests are ongoing in Punjab despite the course of time. Chaudhry added that in Vajirabad, the police refused to the PTI members the right to perform the funeral of the deceased party worker.
Khan and other party leaders have appeared in the GHQ case and that the PTI has decided to appoint Aamir Dogar as a member of the Opposition Talks Committee. The new members will be included in the political committee, and a formal announcement is to be made today.
Highlighting the problems faced by the party, Ch UD Try pointed out that ILF leader Indiser Panchaoda prevented the jail and that lawyers were denied access to jail tests. He added that journalists are allowed in the selected way.
After the 26th Amendment, the lawyer confirmed that the PTI would file an open inquiry in the GHQ case, citing concerns over the judiciary.
In his third open letter, Khan said he would address the issue of election fraud and that the minority was given priority to the majority through fraudulent methods.
The government will accuse him of bringing money to power, and pointing out the extent of terrorism that is increasing due to lack of law. Khan is expected to highlight the mass outcry of 1.8 million people from Pakistan, and the capital of $ 20 billion from the country is departing.
According to his lawyer, he further criticizes the allegations that provokes a court on the PTI, claiming that the judiciary is dealing with repression against his party. He will also refer to Pakistan’s low ranking in the World Planning Index, where the country is currently 140th.
Chu UD Try made it clear that the party would issue an official report on Sher Afzal Marw’s status, emphasizing that it was an internal matter for the BDI.
Responding to the claims of the PTI leadership, security sources refused to obtain any such letter from Imran Khan to the military leader, claiming that the allegations were unfounded. They further stated that the establishment has already made it clear that political debates are not military but to be held with politicians.
