Mexico is a concessioned country for its natural wealth. One of the world’s Megadivers, it has about 10 percent of global biodiversity. However, this difference has a great responsibility: the safety and restoration of environmental organizations that support the lives of thousands of plants and animals, as well as the well -being of human communities.

In the context of climate change and losing biodiversity improvements to dangerous rhythms, the restoration of environmental systems is an emergency. It is not only an environmental effort, but also a strategy for survival and regeneration for our country and the world.

Mexico: A megadars treasure in danger

We cannot continue to consider Mexico as a megaadian country, without recognizing that we lose that wealth with quick steps. From tropical forests to coral, there are unique environmental systems in our territory, but are increasingly threatened. Deforestation, pollution, climate change and urban expansion can make natural places worse.

It is disgusting to see how we lose thousands of hectares annually due to uncontrolled urbanization, illegal decline and intense agriculture. Our rivers and seas, once in a time of life sources, have become industrial and agricultural chemical waste lands. Although climate change is not a new phenomenon, its effects – intense search, flood and loss of organisms – affect us with greater intensity. It adds to the irregular growth of cities, which swallowed natural areas without considering the environmental effects.

If we continue on this path, the cost will be inconsistent. Not only on the basis of the environment, but also the social and economics. How can we face the future without a biodiversity without fertile soil and clean water? We can’t expect more. Reorganization must be a national priority.

Restoration: Beyond planting trees

The restoration of environmental systems is beyond deforestation. This is a comprehensive strategy, its balance and function of returning to nature. Some important activities include rehabilitation of degenerative soil, restoration of water, monitoring of animals, and recovering traditional practices.

Reorganization Benefits: Dedication to the future

Retrieving environmental systems is not only compulsory, but it also creates positive impacts in the social and economic field:

  • Reduce Climate Change: Healthy environmental systems operate carbon sinking, which reduces the concentration of greenhouse gases.
  • Biodiversity Protection: Habitat regeneration allows animal and plant species to restore the risk.
  • Progress in the standard of living: Communities involved in reconstruction programs can access clean air, drinking water and healthy foods.
  • Economic Growth: Restoration operates environmental tourism and creates green work in various regions of the country.

Success cases in Mexico

There are inspiring efforts to prove the positive impact of the environmental restructuring. Thanks to the support of the coalition and the BPVA Mexico in alliance with Ecdono and Ros Tarango AC, we have promoted strategic projects like:

  • Synambas restoration at Sogimilco: Retrieving an ancestor cultural technique to protect the lake environment system and strengthen food safety.
  • Jaguar habitat protection in Papalota: Includes local communities in monitoring and safety of swamp.
  • The tracking of sea wolves and contaminated: Protecting this important species for the health of marine environmental systems.
  • Bird and Bad monitoring in the Tarango Valley: Promoting biological balance in urban areas through the protection of pollen species.

Restoration: Dedication of everyone

The future of our environmental organizations depends on collective action. This is not just the responsibility of the government or the environmental organizations; Companies, communities and citizens can make a difference. Volunteer, responsible consumption, environmental tourism and environmental education are the key to protecting our natural wealth.

If we want to get a rich and flexible Mexico, we must act today. Reclaiming environmental systems is an opportunity to change our relationship with nature and to create a future of regeneration. Because we love Mexico, we protect its environment. That is the best legacy we can leave.
