The MMA world champion with a medieval nuclear weight “The Menus” is used to get cheers from thousands of fans, but on Thursday afternoon, this is a different way.

At the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference held at the Bilforts Stadium, Jambonga went into Fanmode as he watched his favorite volleyball team’s descent Creamline squad game against Cheri Tico.

The experience of “The Menus” is certainly positive because the 10-time PVL champions have seen the crossroads straight-their long-term idols set the tone in the breeze.

“I’m very happy to be here. This is my first time to see PVL live, and I really got starstrek with players, ”he told reporters after the Jambonga competition.

“I am a big fan of Creamline. There are a lot of players I follow like Gema Kalansa, Michael Kumabao and Alisa Waldez. I have been following them since they started. ”

While he considers himself as a team’s hardcore fan, Jambonga and Creamline have something common – they have made history for the country last year.

Jambonga did so by becoming the first Philippine to win the MMA World title when the medieval strap against Aliona Razoina in early January. Meanwhile, Creamline became the first professional volleyball team in the country of Grand Slam in September 2024.

“This is a different sense that makes history for your country. I know they feel the same. And I am blessed with that difference and I am grateful,” he said.

He also shared the experience of being in the stand now compared to the ground.

It is not something she used to be.

“This is completely different from my game. What they are doing, it’s hard. As an audience, this is actually nervous, ”he said.

Another thing she does not familiarize is that she is now a world champion.

He is not only a fan, but also a VIP with the country’s most popular volleyball league. She had access to the locker room in front of her row seats, TV time and the game, where she finally met her volleyball heroes.

“This is a different feeling,” he said. “After winning a championship, I don’t expect my recognition to go through the roof. I thought this would be normal, but I am grateful for being here.”
