The Panata Kontra-Fake News, which was launched on the National Press Independence Day in 2024, is a multi-flatform initiative to fight false information by raising awareness, developing critical thinking and promoting active public involvement.
GMA Network President Atty. Benefit L. Goson emphasized the importance of truth in building the nation.
“The truth is that we are the way to create a better nation. This is not always very virus, but this is the best story to say. Always, together, we will reveal the fact that there are no sides, protected, lies, without lies,” he said.
The GMA network shares approval with nearly 60 media outlets, technical institutions and educational institutions, which is the challenge to fight false information in the signing of the country’s largest campaign against fake news.
With special reports on TV, Radio and Digital Sites, Multimedia Content and Interactive involvement, this initiative has empowered millions of Philipinos to go responsible for digital landscape.
Amoroso highlighted the need to balance between false information and protect freedom of expression.
“In a faster era that spreads false information, we have taken responsibility for fake news, accuracy, accountability and clarity. Panata Kontra-Polly News It is also our pledge to protect, ”he said.
He also dedicated the award to the joint ventures of journalists, authors, producers, staff and spectators who support the faithful magazine.
“This award is not ours. It belongs to each journalist, editor, producer and staff member, and he worked tirelessly to make sure that he exists. It belongs to our audience and readers, and its confidence and engagement encourages us every day. Let this award be a reminder that when we fight false information, we are creating a more informed and authorized society, ”he added.
The 60th Anwil Awards ABR Chairman, Michai de Guiros, said that Grand Anwille was one of the first three candidates GMA, which is the highest honor of the Philippines’ People’s Relations Association (PRSP).
