“(My) daughter -in -law did not have a mother. She had to see her mother being killed,” she said.

“Since the incident … her eyes. They have a light. Now she is very sad.”

The Civil Police Monitoring Committee of the BC, the Independent Intelligence Office (IIO), is investigating the activities of the police that night, but keeps tight on any details of the investigation.

In the months before her death, support workers said that the 37 -year -old mother and her daughter had spent two months shelter due to abuse.

On the day before Sandra Global News was shot dead, Vanessa had called for her problems.

“He was very stressful,” he said.

Sandra said his sister believed that she would protect her daughter and would never hurt the woman.

He said that the police had access to a special training person who had a specialist training to deal with the mental health crisis, whether they had a Spanish translator and that his sister did not speak English.

For now, the family is waiting until the end of the investigation is over. IIO is unable to provide a timeline, only says that the investigation is very complicated.
