Farmers opposition: Farmers struggling for the past one year held a meeting with the central government’s representatives in Chandigarh on Friday (February 14). However, the next meeting will be held on February 22 after the meeting failed. The meeting, organized by Union Minister Prahlath Joshi, discussed various issues, including the MSPS.

The next meeting will be held in Chandigarh or Delhi

“We will have a meeting with central authorities,” said farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallal. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chauhan and two Union Ministers will attend the next meeting. Meeting can take place in Chandigarh or Delhi. We will announce this in a couple of days.

What did Brahlot Joshi say?

After a meeting with Union Minister Brahlat Joshi, “All the problems have been reported today. We have heard the demands of the peasantry. The next meeting will be held on February 22, led by Shivraj Chauhan.”

Debate about MSP

The meeting mainly discussed the minimum support price (MSP) legal warranty on the crop. The meeting was organized after the protests of farmers for the past one year. The meeting was attended by 28 -member delegation.

What is the need for farmers?

Farmers wanted to march to Delhi for the past one year, but they were not allowed to enter the capital. Then they began to perform on the Canori border. Farmers are mainly demanded justice for MSPs, forgiving farmers’ debts, pension for farmers and farm workers, controlling electricity rates, withdrawal of complaints filed by the police, and justice for the victims of Luckmpur Giri violence on 2021.
