Sebu City, the Philippines – The law enforcement at Central Visayas said that the crime rate registered in the entire region in the month of 2025 has suffered a significant decline.
According to the Police Regional Office (Pro -7) in the Central Visayas, the crime rate in the region fell by 66.62 per cent in January.
The agency data shows that a total of 256 crimes have been recorded in January this year.
This figure is significantly low compared to the record of the previous year of 767 crimes during the same period, which indicates a reduction of 511 incidents or 66.62 percent.

Regional Director of Pro -7, Police Brigadier General Retrigo Maran said that the fall of the crime rate would show the positive tendency of the crime in the region.
He also congratulated the police staff in all the police divisions dedicated to implementing their duties in improving their duties to ensure the safety of the citizens.
“This fall method illustrates the performance of law enforcement efforts and social involvement in the region. Such positive changes refer to a confident change towards safe and peaceful Central Visayas community and spectators. .
This achievement is a reflection of the Law Enforcement Division following the orders of the Philippines’ National Police (PNP), which illustrates active police, community cooperation and commitment to serving the public.
