The Catholic Philippines’ Conference (CBCP) has approved the Philippines edition of the Alangati Mary Prayer.
“Ave Maria” was approved during the recent complete assembly of the CBCP.
Msgr. CBCP general secretary Bernardo Pantin stressed that the new translation did not change the old version, but provides the most loyal and accurate description of the original Latin speech.
“(It) is the most scenario, simple and modified, as well as improves our understanding and admiration of its piplico-syllable foundation,” said Bondin.
In a brief commentary, the CBCP, the corrections are guided by the principles of biblical accuracy, simplicity, prayer, contemporary life, and the principles of synodalism – ensures unity.
It said, “Corrections are guided by: Faith, Bible -based, simplicity, prayer, prayer, in the Philippines and the Philippines context, and the spirit of the Synodelity may be together.”
The bishops carried out this action as the Catholic Church celebrated the year of 2025. This year also refers to the 50th anniversary of the CBCB pastoral letter on the blessed virgin Mary, Blessed Virgin MaryPublished on February 2, 1975.
