Waranga: Thousands of peasants, farm workers and BRS leaders staged protests in the Nurseampet Assembly constituency of Warangal on Monday, accusing the Congress government failing to fulfill its promises to the agrarian community.

Under the leadership of former Narshambet MLA Bedi Sudarshana Reddy, about 20,000 people participated in the demonstrations. They conducted boards demanding action on debt discounts, Rathu Bima, Randu Barosa projects and agricultural bonuses.

Reddy criticized the government, called the bonus program “fake” and accused the farmers of burden instead of relief. He warned that if the government did not make its promises, protests would increase.

Local PRS leaders, Mandal party leader, former market committee vice president, Mandal leaders, cluster In-Charges, former Surveyor, MPDCs and village party leaders participated in the upheaval.
