Major Berger Paints plans to invest around Rs 2,000 crore in the next three years as the company is preparing for Greenfield and Brownfield expansion in the midst of a fierce competition in the industry.

After the market share, the company, the country’s second largest paint manufacturer, expects to start operations at its Odisha plant by 2027. Also, it has already been launched to build the Brownfield expansion of its Andhra Pradesh plant, which is likely to operate this year.

Supported by capacity expansions, the company considers $ 20,000 billion to double its revenue by 2030. He said when he opened the company’s new headquarters in Kolkata on Monday.

The company currently has a 22 percent market share. It also seeks mineral opportunities to grow.

“The Odisha plant will be the largest plant for us with an investment of Rs 1,200 crore. It is expected to start operations by 2027. We already have a water -based paint plant in Indupur (Andhra Pradesh). D&A CEO Abhijit Roy said.

“The plant in West Bengal is expected to operate in 2026. We are investing around ₹ 600 crore in this plant,” Roy added.
