Ugo Blanchet from France overcame a slow start that defeated the champion of the last two tournaments, Kyrian Jacquet 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 in the Pune Metropolitan 160,000 MAHA Open Challenger Tennis Tournament Stadium on Thursday.

It was the third victory at six meetings with Blanchet over Jaquet, who won the last two challenges in Chennai and Delhi and fell one set in ten matches for 14 days.

26-year-old Blanchet, who also won the Challenger in Germany Koblenz this season, will continue to play Khumoyun Sultans from Uzbekistan. Uzbek set off Australian schoolboy Tristan Tristan Tristan Tristan in three sets.

In doubles, the top seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vijay Sundar Prashanth eliminated the exciting victory of 12-10 in Super Tie-Break against Sakth Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan in the quarterfinals.

In the semifinals, Niki Poonach and Courtney Lock will be attacked.

Niki and his winter partner took place last week in Delhi last week and had to be quite sharp when they won 10-8 in Super Tie-Break against the fourth seeds of Blake Ellis and Schoolkate.
