Today he was the hottest, but in Palm Beach Gardens … tall of 81 (about 27-28 Celsius), but quite windy and very sunny … pleasant weather, but hard conditions for playing. He chaired the finals of the individual, which was nice, and the winners and finalists received control as prizes.
I played at 9:30 against Pat Purcell and won 64,62 in 2 hours of the match. Touch the opponent and hard conditions. In one place Pat took a short injury to attend the blister and I saw the 80s in the neighboring court, Betty Wachob and Sue Kimball .. Betty beat the wind and hit deeper than me, and she is a small, slender woman. So I tried to imitate her and hit it also deeper. Sue Kimball won the singles of the 80s for 63, 64 years today, and it played strongly despite the wind!
