World number one Jannik Sinner accepted an immediate three -month ban on tennis after reaching a settlement with the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA) Test two positive drugs last year.
The 23-year-old Italian, who won the Australian Open last month, is suspended from 9 February to 4 May.
He will be entitled to playing at the next Grand Slam, French Open, which begins on May 19.
In a statement on Saturday, Wada, who appealed against the decision to clean Sinner before the Court for the Arbitration Court for Sport (CAS), claims that his physiotherapist accepts his explanation that he was unintentionally contaminated by the prohibited cloth Clostol.
The body accepts the triple Master Grand Slam “did not intend to cheat” that the drug “did not provide any advantage of increasing performance”, and this happened “without his knowledge as a result of negligence of his accompaniment”.
He added: “However, according to the code and precedent of CAS, the athlete is responsible for the negligence of ENOURAGE. Based on a unique set of facts of this case, a three -month suspension is considered a suitable result. ”
