Evanson and Champaign, il -After four days of competition among the sixteen women’s tennis programs Division and Division I were Georgian bulldogs that came on top after they defeated Texas A & M 4-1 in the final of the ITA ITA ITA ITA Division ITA Division ITA Division.
Behind the packed crowded and thousands of fans who encouraged their team from the house, Tuesday’s final was known for SEC and university fans in general, because two teams faced the 2024 SEC Championship final as well as in the National National Championship NCAA 2024 match in Stillwater, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Starting with doubles, they were bulldogs that set the tone early. The Bulldogi, who won the 6-1 victory for singles, found their clinical victory from the double court no.
In the singles of Georgia, there was no signs of slowdown, winning the first sets there, while they just fell five games in 23 games. Sofia Rojas was the first player to put her singles match in the afternoon when she won 6-2, 6-4 over a newcomer Aggie, Lexington Reed. Shortly thereafter, the bulldogs moved their lead to 3-0 after Asegul Mert won 6-2, 7-5 over Luciana Perez.
After Aggies got a point on board from a direct victory in court no. 3, it was Dasha Vidmanov, who won a match for the Bulldogs with an impressive 6-1, 7-6 (5) victory over Mary Stoiana. This championship this season presents the second National Championship for Vidmanov, when last autumn was crowned with the Master of Singles NCAA.
The title is the seventh title of ITA National Team Indoor for bulldogs in the history of the program.
