Pace, – Work in cooperation with ITA student-Atlets CouncilIntercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) is proud to focus on another student-in-air student in our monthly heritage centers to emphasize many diverse backgrounds that make up a university sport.
With February, which is a month of black history, ITA continues to focus on several black students-in-anthlets, allowing them to have a platform to share their stories and experiences like a black student-athlete playing tennis in college. This week, Savannah Broadus from Pepperdine University, which was one of the best NCAA Division I players during his time in Malibu, is introducing Savannah Broadus.
As a lone senior in the Pepperdin team this season, Broadus took over a new role for Wave this season and introduced what she learned about the program during the first three years in the team. As five times, ITA All-American was Broadus constantly one of the best doubles in women’s tennis, having a high-rating career no. 1 and ends as NCAA 2024 finalist and finalist ITA Fall Nationals 2022.
At present, ITA in the ITA ranking in the ITA ranking has now placed on the 16th place in Singles Ita. After packing her collegial career in Pepperdine this spring, Broadus plans to take his game on the Pro Tour, where she hopes to have a similar success and impact on what she has achieved in Pepperdine.
In this center of attention, Broadus will share a little about herself and some of her experiences that grow up as a black athlete in the tennis community and hopes to have an impact on future generations.
