The man who “showed fixed behavior” towards the British tennist player Emme Radacan was detained and received a limiting order, the Dubai police said.
Visibly upset Raducan was seen behind the referee’s chair two games for the second round of defeat at the Dubai Tennis Championship on Tuesday.
Raducan noticed a man in the first few rows of the stand during her match against Karolina Muchov.
The 22-year-old was approached by the same man who gave her a letter and took a picture of her on Monday in a public area near the tournament.
The Dubai police said the man was detained before Radacan decided not to develop charges.
