Last weekend, twenty -six Pickleball players met to play at the Pickleball Club Tournament in tennis. The event was also celebrated by the “fully loaded” team that represents the club in monthly events in southeastern England Pickleball League (Sepl).
Debbie and Daryl were crowned with the overall winners with Simon and Simon as runners. The third place went to Michelle and Matthew & Napalai & Robert.
Pickleball coordinator and Jill Gibson said. “It was a great fun, with oohs, drinks and a cake to celebrate.“
Pickleball Sessions on absolutely tennis began last October and were a stunning success with some players who are now competitors at national level and in foreign competitions. It is a social game that is suitable for players of all age groups and abilities. A smaller court means that there is less port of coverage than ordinary tennis, and although it is considered a slower pace of more experienced players, Pickleball still considers an exciting and challenging game.
