Emerson Jones and Tahlia Kokkinis will advance to the quarter -finals of the girls’ singles at AO 2025 and since 2016 they became the first pair of Aussie, who did so in the Grand Slam.

Emerson Jones and Tahlia Kokkinis interrupted the nine -year drought after their third round of the Australian Open 2025 wins on Wednesday.
They are the first Australian couple to advance to the quarter -finals of the Singles to Major by Baijing Lin and Sara Tomic at the Australian Open 2016.
Jones did not waste his time returning to the quarterfinals when she prevailed over Yuliya Perapekhina in 53 minutes. Junior World no.

“I think that if I only play my own game and in essence (play) at this level, I think it gives me great confidence,” Jones said about how the Australian Open 2025, which follows the executive performance in the finals. Final 2024.

Tahlia Kokkinis continued her escape in Ao 2025 after she came from determination to defeat the British qualifier Brooke Black.
After a tight first set, where Black broke in the final game to take a 7-5 set, the attacking Kokkinis significantly gained dominance. The 16-year-old threw only three more points out of her first service to achieve the first quarter-finals of the Grand Slam.
