Two of the biggest hitters in all tennis will collide tonight Australian open As Aryna Saanka is looking for a third direct title against Madison Keys.
Sabalenka won her last 20 matches in Melbourne and is now worth a victory for becoming the first woman in 26 years to win the Australian Open title three times.
World no. 1 lost only one set on his way to the fifth final of the Grand Slam, while Keys had a terribly hard journey. The American who turns 30 of the following months had to go through a former finalist Elena Rybakina and Danielle Collins Plus the former top 5 Elina Svitolina And then a big win over no. 2 IgA Swiak Save the match point in the process.
Sabalenka won four out of five, but this is their biggest battle, and for the keys it would be the biggest victory in her career.
“I think what is really impressive is her mentality,” Keys told Sabalenka. “He plays such fearless tennis. It has the ability to play so well. I think it’s very unique.
“I think not only is it impressive on her side, but I think it puts a little more pressure on her opponents where you know you will always have to try to win this point because it will never play passive and passive and gives you lightweight the opinion of the view. ”
Keys lost in his first Slam final seven years ago in 2017 when it fell Sloane Stephens in USA open Final.
“I don’t know if, when I started, I thought I would be almost 30 and still playing at the level I play, and I probably play even better than I have ever played,” Keys added.
“It’s something I certainly don’t take for granted and try to overturn a little, and just show some of these young people that they have many, many, many years.”
