Rise to Excellence! Reach for Glory. The Return of the Rising Stars Series!

Rise to Excellence! Reach for Glory. The Return of the Rising Stars Series!

The fourth consecutive season of the Rising Stars Series, a talent promotion series within the MotoGP™ eSport Championship, is set to commence this Wednesday!

Beyond delivering top-tier competitive eSports racing through its immensely popular Global Series, the MotoGP™ eSport Championship proudly reintroduces its talent development program, the Rising Stars Series, now entering its fourth consecutive year.

This initiative is designed to discover and nurture emerging eSports talent on a global scale. Much like the Road to MotoGP™ programs seen on the actual racetrack, including the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup and the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, the Rising Stars Series strives to propel young talents toward the pinnacle of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship.

Looking at this year’s Global Series, it’s evident that the investment from the previous three years is paying off. Plat1forLyfe, last year’s Rising Stars Series champion competing under the alias Bailey, has already secured a podium finish in the first two rounds. Another success story is PieroRicciutti, last year’s MotoGP™ eSport Championship runner-up, who emerged from the Rising Stars Series.

The format of the series closely resembles that of 2022. It includes three Online Regional Challenges, with results categorized into three World Regions: the Americas, Europe and Africa, Asia and Oceania. The top three gamers from each region (a total of nine) after the third Online Challenge will earn a spot in the final to determine the overall winner.

The significant change for 2023 is that all Online Challenges (including the final) will take place using MotoE™ machines. Less than two weeks after the thrilling conclusion of the 2023 MotoE™ World Championship, gamers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills on Ducati’s innovative V21L electric bike across various tracks.

The series kicks off this week, and the victor will secure a place in the 2024 MotoGP™ eSport Pro Draft, where current MotoGP™ teams choose a gamer to represent them in the Global Series. It’s worth noting that the 2023 MotoGP™ eSport Official Riders will not be eligible to participate in the Rising Stars Series.

The Rising Stars Series consists of two phases: the Online Regional Challenges and the Online Final. Participants will be grouped into three categories based on their geographical location: the Americas (North and South), Europe and Africa, and finally, Asia and Oceania.

The Online Regional Challenges (Qualifiers) will be conducted in time attack mode, running from September 20th to October 15th. Gamers who achieve the fastest lap times will earn points. Only the quickest laps will be considered, and each Challenge will take place on three distinct tracks, featuring three different machines and riders.

The top three gamers from each region with the highest points tally after the final Challenge will secure a spot in the ultimate showdown, scheduled for November 3rd. These events are exclusively online, played on PC, and will be hosted on separate virtual circuits.
