MotoGP 22-Round Calendar For 2024 Reveals

MotoGP has revealed its calendar for the 2024 season, which is due to begin on 10 March and take in a record 22 rounds, including a second attempt at Kazakhstan.

The highly anticipated 2024 MotoGP schedule has been officially revealed, promising a thrilling season of motorcycle racing. The season is set to kick off on March 10th with the Qatar Grand Prix, returning to its traditional season-opening slot after being moved to November in 2023 for track updates.

After the Qatar Grand Prix, the action shifts to Europe, starting with the Portuguese GP, which opened the 2022 calendar. Following that, the Argentina GP is scheduled for April 7th, setting the stage for another exciting race season.

As in the previous season, the Argentina GP will be followed by the Americas GP at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) on April 14th. The championship then returns to Europe for the Spanish GP on April 28th.

One notable change for the 2024 season is the return of all four Spanish venues, with Aragon making its comeback after being sidelined in 2022. This means there will be no rotation of the Iberian events, offering fans a consistent lineup of thrilling races.

The action continues with the French GP on May 12th, followed by the Catalan GP on May 26th, which is closely followed by the Italian GP at the iconic Mugello circuit on June 2nd.

The European leg of the season is briefly interrupted by the second attempt to stage the inaugural Kazakhstan GP at the Sokol circuit. The MotoGP organizers had initially hoped to race in Kazakhstan in July of the previous year but had to cancel the event due to delays in circuit readiness.

After Kazakhstan, the Dutch GP is set to take place on June 30th, followed by the German GP on July 7th. Following a well-deserved three-week summer break, the action resumes on August 4th with the British GP at Silverstone, followed by the Austrian GP on August 18th.

The next back-to-back races of the year commence on September 1st with the return of the Aragon GP, which was absent from the schedule in the previous year, and the San Marino GP on September 8th. MotoGP fans can look forward to an action-packed season with a diverse range of circuits and intense competition on the horizon.
