In an interview with former rival Chris Jericho, Austin revealed that his most cherished match was the Wrestlemania 13 classic against Bret Hart, officiated by UFC legend Ken Shamrock.

Austin expressed, “That match with Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 is truly special to me. It demanded a double turn, a rarity in our business. Not many wrestlers understand what it entails. It required work behind the scenes to bolster the narrative, but it all started with that in-ring match. It was my first attempt at a double turn, and it happened with Bret.”
