According to reports from Championat.com, UFC President Dana White recently disclosed that the highly-regarded fighter Jon Jones won’t be able to compete against former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic due to an injury.

As a result, an interim title bout has been scheduled, featuring Russian fighter Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall. On October 24, Pavlovich made it clear that he was prepared to step in for any fighter unable to participate in the main event of UFC 295, which is just around the corner on November 11.

It’s worth noting that Pavlovich boasts an impressive professional MMA record of 18-1 and currently holds the second spot in the UFC heavyweight rankings. In his most recent bout in April at UFC Fight Night 222, he secured a first-round technical knockout victory over American fighter Curtis Blaydes, extending his winning streak to six consecutive victories in the UFC promotion.

Mark your calendars for UFC 295, set to unfold in New York on November 11.
