Coach Jorgensen’s Reflection

Augustana’s head golf coach, Coralee Jorgensen, shared her thoughts on the event: “It was a perfect day for golf. We didn’t have the closing shots coming in to finish, and disappointed would be an understatement. It was fun to watch a record-breaking 66 out of Molly on Monday, and fun to see Lauren fight back for a 73 today. This was a good learning lesson for the spring season.”

Key Performances

  • Molly Stevens secured a tie for second place with 143 strokes, finishing 3-over-par. She also set a potential program record with a remarkable 66 strokes in the opening round on Monday.
  • Lanie Veenendall posted scores of 76 and 79 for a total of 155 strokes, earning her a tie for 21st place.
  • Lauren Tims demonstrated significant improvement from the first to the second round, reducing her score from 88 strokes to 73, resulting in a tied-for-46th finish.
  • Freshman Mattie Weidenbach tied with Tims for 46th place, marking her first point-scoring opportunity for AU.
