Kapolei, Hawaii – Baylor’s women’s golf team clinched victory at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, with Rosie Belsham earning co-medalist honors after a dominant performance, finishing 20-under with a score of 844. The Bears outshone their competitors, securing their 22nd team title in the Jay Goble Era, leaving New Mexico State and UC Davis trailing by 19 shots.

Notably, all five of Baylor’s lineup players achieved top-20 finishes.

Belsham’s round saw her claim the lead with birdies at various points but shared medalist honors after a bogey on the 18th. Snyder’s remarkable 6-under 66, just one shot off the school record, saw her in contention for the lead, while Huh rebounded from an even-par turn to secure a career-best tie for sixth with a 3-under 69.

Sera Hasegawa claimed 11th place with a 2-under 70, while Ashleen Kaur tied for 20th with an even-par 72. BaiMai Seema tied for 17th, showing consistent performance throughout the tournament.

Baylor dominated in par-3 and par-4 scoring averages and boasted the most birdies in the field this week. This win marked Coach Jay Goble’s 22nd victory at Baylor, with a total score of 20-under 844, ranking as the ninth lowest in program history.

The team’s final-round 275 also tied for the eighth-best round in the program’s history, and several players achieved personal milestones, such as Belsham’s eighth top-5 finish, Snyder’s outstanding round, and Huh’s career-first top-10 finish.

Coach Goble praised the team’s resilience and positive outlook, citing their determination to win. He also highlighted the team’s depth and camaraderie, emphasized by their strong performance and bonding during the tournament.
