Harding Secures Fifth Place with Dominant Second Round at DBU Fall Classic

In the second round of the DBU Fall Classic at the Golf Club of Dallas, the Harding men’s golf team showcased remarkable performance, shooting a stellar 1-under 279. This impressive score, ranking as the eighth-best in the program’s history, propelled them up two spots to a tied fifth position.

After the initial round, Harding had recorded a 9-over 289. Collectively, they now have a total score of 8-over 568, placing them 12 strokes behind the tournament leader.

Senior Sam Tandy, who recently claimed victory at the NCAA Regional Preview, is currently tied for ninth place with a score of 2-under 138.

The team had additional standout performers in the top 20 after the second round. Sophomore Dennis Staykov and Junior Finlay Cummings both delivered impressive scores of 2-under 68, securing their positions at 2-over 142 and tying for 18th place. Freshman Jose Ignacio Arzu Garcia also showcased his talent, matching their achievements with rounds of 73 and 69, placing him in a tie for 18th.
