In Powells Point, North Carolina, the La Salle men’s golf team wrapped up their fall season with a strong showing at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, held at the Kilmarlic Golf Club’s par-71 course. Gavin Dosch, Benjamin Battye, and Nikita Romanov all delivered impressive performances, securing top 20 finishes.

Dosch had a standout tournament, finishing tied for 15th with a total score of 5-over-par 218. His game improved with each round, starting with a 3-over 74 in the first round, followed by a 2-over 73 in the second, and finally concluding with an even-par 71 in the last round.

Battye and Romanov closely followed Dosch, both tying for 17th place with a 6-over 219 for the tournament. Battye’s rounds consisted of a pair of 1-over 72s and a 4-over 75, while Romanov rebounded impressively from a 7-over 78 in the opening round with a spectacular 3-under 68 in the second round, and then a solid 2-over 73 to end the tournament.

The La Salle lineup was completed by Alex Gekas and Kevin Lydon, who both tied for 53rd place with a score of 232 (+19). The Explorers placed seventh in the 15-team field, accumulating a total score of 886 (+34).

This performance at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate showcased the talent and potential of the La Salle men’s golf team as they closed out their fall season on a high note.
