The California Baptist women’s golf team secured their first season victory with a three-stroke lead over Boston College at the conclusion of the Fall Season in the Diamonte Intercollegiate, hosted at the Diamonte Village Golf Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

In an impressive show of unity and determination, all five Lancer players achieved under-par scores in the final round to stage a come-from-behind win. Coach Marc Machado, celebrating his ninth victory since taking charge in 2016, praised the team’s commitment to their shared theme of boldness in every shot and situation.

The final scorecard revealed Cal Baptist’s record-setting performance at 26-under-par (281-281-276—838), outperforming Boston College (282-273-286–841) and Central Arkansas (285-283-282—850). Other notable standings included Arkansas Little Rock (290-284-289—893) and Arkansas State (290-281-293—864).

The individual title was claimed by Pariya Sanpanawat of Georgia State with an impressive score of 70-67-67—204. Abbey Schutte of Arkansas secured second place with 70-71-66—207, while Pusanisa Ekkantrong and Samantha Dizon of Cal Baptist, alongside Elise Schultz of Arkansas State, tied for third place at 208.

The leaderboard also featured Kiah Parrott of Ball State, Gudrun Thornsteinsdottir of Central Arkansas, and Mathilde Brogens of Tarleton State, all tied for sixth place with scores of 209. Sofia Chabon of Cal Baptist and Cynthia Zhang, along with Canice Screene from Boston College, tied for ninth place at 210.

Cal Baptist’s team victory was further underlined by strong performances from Burberry Zhang (T14 at 213) and Dimini Law Ghanshyani (T39 at 219).
