Sean Dyche Discusses Farhad Moshiri Talks Amid Ongoing Everton Takeover Wait

The majority shareholder and the Everton manager maintain their regular communication, which hasn’t changed despite Farhad Moshiri’s agreement to sell the club.

Despite the confirmation of Farhad Moshiri’s intention to sell control of Everton, he has continued to maintain contact with Sean Dyche. Moshiri, the club’s majority shareholder, has agreed to sell his 94.1% stake in the team to the US investment firm 777 Partners. Representatives of the prospective buyers have attended recent matches at Goodison Park, pending regulatory approvals from the Premier League, Football Association, and Financial Conduct Authority.

However, the ongoing discussions have not altered the level of interaction between Moshiri and Dyche. Since his appointment in late January, Dyche has refrained from discussing the long-term direction of Everton. Last month, it was confirmed that a deal in principle had been reached with 777, and a delegation, including co-founder Josh Wander and Don Dransfield, who oversees the group’s football operations, met with Dyche and director of football Kevin Thelwell at Finch Farm.

Dyche described the meetings as informal, with discussions covering his experiences at the club, the challenges ahead, and other football-related matters. Despite the backdrop of the takeover attempt, the interaction between Moshiri and Dyche remains unchanged. They occasionally communicate over the phone and primarily exchange messages, as they have done throughout Dyche’s time at the club. Moshiri continues to send messages about the games and related matters.
