In the Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park on Saturday, Japan midfielder Reo Hatate made a significant impact, scoring the opening goal and providing an assist in Celtic’s 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock.

Hatate displayed remarkable skill as he deftly maneuvered past his defender, entered the penalty area, and expertly placed the ball into the bottom left corner in the 22nd minute, marking his second goal of the season.

In the 33rd minute, Hatate unintentionally played a crucial role in Celtic’s second goal. He inadvertently blocked a pass from Luis Palma, causing the ball to ricochet back to Palma. Palma capitalized on the opportunity by curling the ball off the post from outside the box, doubling Celtic’s lead.

Kilmarnock mounted a response as David Watson netted a goal on a counter-attack in the 72nd minute. However, Japan forward Daizen Maeda’s deft header from a corner provided Greg Taylor with a straightforward tap-in just 10 minutes later, sealing the victory for the defending champions.
