Carragher Hails Chelsea Legend Hazard as an All-Time Premier League Great

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has lauded Eden Hazard as one of the Premier League’s standout performers during his prime.

Recently, the former Chelsea winger made the announcement of his retirement from the world of sports.

Hazard grappled with persistent injury concerns over the past few years.

In response to Hazard’s retirement announcement, Carragher took to Twitter and shared his perspective, stating, “It’s interesting to see the various opinions here about Eden Hazard, so here’s mine! He was the Premier League’s top player for four remarkable years.

Hazard clinched the PFA Young Player, PFA Player, and FWA Player of the Year awards, achieving remarkable success. He boasted a trophy collection that included every honor at Chelsea, with the exception of the elusive Champions League title.

In Carragher’s view, Hazard’s exceptional performance during the 2018 World Cup, where Belgium secured a third-place finish, solidified his status as an all-time Premier League great. Many would agree that he deserves a spot in various all-time XI lineups.

However, Carragher acknowledged that in today’s era, some people remain unsatisfied, as Hazard fell short of winning a World Cup with his national team or achieving significant success at Real Madrid.
