South Africa and Sri Lanka in pursuit of an early World Cup victory.

In their pursuit of early success at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, South Africa and Sri Lanka are set to compete at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi today (Saturday).

South Africa exhibited promising form with a narrow loss to New Zealand in a high-scoring warm-up match for the World Cup. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s batsmen showed good form in their match against Afghanistan, despite the loss.

Sri Lanka will feel the absence of spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, placing their hopes on young talents such as Dunith Wellalage and Matheesha Pathirana to shine during the tournament.

Both teams possess formidable batting line-ups, raising the prospect of another high-scoring encounter in Delhi.
