Bangladesh will go head-to-head with England on Monday in their second warm-up match.v

Bangladesh is set to take on England in their final warm-up match before the ICC Cricket World Cup on Monday in Guwahati, the capital of the Indian state of Assam. The day-night game is scheduled to commence at 2:30 pm.

Captain Shakib Al Hasan is expected to sit this one out due to minor injuries. He also missed the first warm-up match against Sri Lanka, which Bangladesh won by seven wickets.

Bangladesh is eager to conclude their warm-up fixtures on a winning note to bolster their World Cup aspirations. However, they face a formidable opponent in England, the current World Champions in both ODI and T20 formats, known for revolutionizing limited-overs cricket with their fearless and precise approach.

While Bangladesh did secure a T20 series victory against England at home in March, they lost the subsequent ODI series.

England’s first warm-up game against India was rained out, so they will approach this match with added focus to fine-tune their preparations for the World Cup.

Following this practice match, Bangladesh will head to Dharamshala, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, to kick off their World Cup campaign against Afghanistan on October 7.

Squad: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Liton Das, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Vice Captain), Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nasum Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
