As the 2023-24 season looms on the horizon, the American Athletic Conference (AAC) has unveiled its Preseason All-Conference Coaches Poll and Teams.

Despite their remarkable second-place finish in the 2022-23 season, marking the highest placement ever achieved by the Tigers in the AAC, Memphis finds itself projected to land in the fifth spot this year. South Florida and the reigning AAC Championship victors, East Carolina, have secured the top two positions, with newcomer Rice and SMU occupying the third and fourth ranks.

Madison Griggs, a fifth-year standout hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, garners recognition as she clinches a spot on the AAC’s Preseason All-Conference First Team. Griggs, a 2022-23 All-AAC Third Team honoree, impressively averaged 12.3 points per game in the previous season while nailing an impressive 87 three-pointers. This marks the first preseason accolade of Griggs’s career.
