Rangers have named Philippe Clement as their new manager, signing him to a three-and-a-half-year deal. The 49-year-old, a former Belgium defender, takes over from the dismissed Michael Beale. Clement, previously with Monaco, left the Ligue 1 club after 18 months. Rangers’ chairman, John Bennett, praised the selection process, which culminated in Clement becoming the 19th manager for the Scottish Premiership club. Clement, expressing his excitement for the role, is eager to achieve success at Rangers. The new management team will meet the playing squad soon, with the task of closing the gap on Celtic.
