The goalkeeper’s talent Jemima Cafaya (21) died suddenly. The national player felt embarrassed on Sunday evening and was taken to the hospital – died on Monday morning. The exact cause of death is still unknown.
His club handball plan-de-cooks, the first section from France, confirmed this tragedy and talked about the “incredible loss.” The league game, which was planned on Tuesday evening, was canceled, and the crisis team was formed to support the players.
The sudden death of Cafe is a tragedy eight years ago: In 2016, the then player Flora Jirolami died of meningitis, such as lightning. Now a young athlete from the club meets again.
“Jemima is not just a talented goalkeeper, but also a radioactive, warm and always young woman. Your smile and your dedication will be unforgettable,” the club’s emotional news says.
Cafaya is one of the most trusted goalkeeper skills in France. He started his career in Paris 92 and switched to Handball Plan-de-Cooz in 2022. It extended his contract only two more years this year. With the impressive fishing rate of 35.6 % and 78 marching, he was one of the best caregivers of the league.
He caused a stir internationally: In 2022, he participated in the World Cup with the Junior National Team, and the team finished 13th place.
