Look at my latest book, Tennis players like works of art, now available to Amazon. Called “insanely ambitiously” and named one of the 5 presented books of 2024 in the art category/imagination/creativity from a weekly publisher’s weekly book, tennis as artwork is also called “one of the best books we read in 2024″ (independent book ” ) and “Book of the Year” (Inside Tennis Magazine.)

When I think of the French Open, I never think of my favorite French things: Debussy’s The sea and Monet’s Waterlilia. Flakes of sound, brush gravel light. Instead, I think of my favorite things: the art of a feather, the heavy top of Topspin Forehand. Art, groaning, moaning and sweat.

All this has changed when I saw the innovative poster of Paul Rousteau for the French Open 2024, which insists that the French open is about Paris and his art and culture. Rousteau “wanted to show tennis attacking Paris”, and thus experimented with the placement of the tennis clay court in various places in Paris using AI. He knew he could have something strange when a tennis clay court was placed on the Seine.

Rousteau, inspired by the French movements of impressionism and pointilism, then painted colors side by side to create a light surface, a color and light dancing in the Seine under tennis sunlight in Van Gogh Sky. My new plan of participation in the French Open has changed. More time walking on the streets of Paris. More time is thinking about his art.

Artist Bio (from its website):: Paul Rousteau, born in France in 1985, examines the limits of photography and our perception. His art, made from optical illusions, is between digital art and pictorial materials. At the borders of abstraction and sacred art, his paintings in joyful colors reveal a deep search for the artist “sublimates visible and show invisible”. From portrait to landscape, its hallucinative and contemplative visual elements demand the largest magazines, brands and museums.
