The Edo State Legislative Assembly has released all its appointments.
The Daily Post said that the Speaker of the house, the blessed Akbabahu, revealed this in a full place where they were sitting on Tuesday.
Akbabahu said that the stopping of their appointments would be implemented immediately and that they would be given a February salary.
He said the decision was jointly taken by 24 lawmakers.
Appointments are Special Advisors, Senior Special Advisors.
The Speaker said that the appointment of the 8th legislators was appointed by the 8th legislators on June 2023.
According to him, “As soon as we resumed as members of this council, some assistants were appointed and members of various constituencies sent their candidates to appoint their candidates.
“I think, this is now two years. And I think the congregation has kindly acknowledged that the SAS and SSAs of those appointments today are released from their appointments on February 19, 2025.
“As a result, we will meet. They have to get the salary this month,” he said.
