Europe’s security is in a ‘turning point’, the EU leader warns

Leaders of major European powers gathered for strategy in France after US President Donald Trump indiscriminately transformed allies with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.

Britain said Europe was planning to bring about plans to ensure any peace agreement in Ukraine, and that it would be ready to maintain peacekeeping forces if necessary.

The Paris meeting is to unite the leaders of Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain, the European Council, the European Commission and NATO leaders.

Earlier on Monday, Germany was “foremost” to discuss the sending of its troops to war -affected Ukraine, as part of any peacekeeping power after Britain announced that it was ready for such action.

British Prime Minister Kair Starmer said on Sunday that “we are ready to put our own troops on the ground if needed to ensure security in Europe.
