In an extensive new conversation with Sports Missvent with Chris Hoy., ‘ Murray shares why he agreed with his former rival coach, two surprisingly the biggest requirements who felt the coaching of a 10-time Australian Open at last year’s AO and One Champion, dreaming of coaching.
“I consider (Novak) to be one of the best athletes of all time to help him train is something I didn’t feel like I could refuse because I wouldn’t get this chance (again),” Murray said Chris Hoy on his podcast. “Who knows how long he will play?”
Although Murray had a well-earned reputation for one of the most capable men in tennis-and one of the most sophisticated and most important champions in the conversations-shared two surprisingly demanding areas that attacked him at his coaching debut under.
Murray said he watched so many video about Djokovic opponents, felt exhausted and tired of “excessive accompaniment”, and said that clearly communicating with the overall team of 37-year-old Serbian Superstar was the initial challenge, although he felt it improved when the tournament proceeded. .
“I liked the matches. I liked that I was sitting at my side and watching matches from another perspective, ”said Murray Chris Hoy. “I liked analysis and preparation, planning, strategy and everything. I really liked it.
“Obviously, I’m very inexperienced as a coach, so there are many things when a player you don’t realize that all coaches are thinking and having to do. I am a poor communicator, it’s something I have always struggled with it, but then when you are part of the team and lead a team, it is really important that you communicate well with people and give them a clear direction.
“So I think I was doing a job with it, but I found it difficult, very difficult. I also did a pretty bad job. I spent too much time in my room watching tennis videos and almost liked to analyze matches, just like Over -Trcho accompanied, so I found that I was quite tired.
“At the end of the tournament I did a better job with it, just as it is too much. “Take a break, go to the gym, go for a walk, go and hit a few golf balls”. It was a good experience, I learned a lot. It was difficult for me, I found it difficult. ”

He asked him to choose one legendary Big 3, whom he dreamed of training at best, Murray appointed 20 times Grand Slam. Roger Federer.
“That’s a great question; I think Roger probably, because I think he is able to do so much with a tennis ball, ”Murray said. “(Federer) He had so many options. Being a fair Novak is really good about it, this is one of the reasons that it doesn’t matter who coaching those boys, provided you are giving them a clear direction …
“I think coaching Roger would be fun because … he only has all the shots. So you could ask him to do something, and in essence he could do it. ”
