The leaders of the seven (United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, France, France, Italy, Germany and Japan) have called for the Russian Federation to withdraw its forces from the eastern border of Ukraine and the Crimean Peninsula.

“We are sure that Russia is a party for the conflict in East Ukraine and not a mediator. We ensure our support for the Normandy process to protect the implementation of the Minsk contracts, and call Russia and it withdrawn constructively and repeat the ceasefire.”
Moreover, the G7 leaders reaffirmed their efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s democracy and institutions, promoting further progress in reform.
